I applaud your devotion to patient care, research, and medical education.

I am especially pleased that TheAnswerPage.com, the medical education resource that you founded, has become an internationally recognized leader in providing unbiased peer-reviewed continuing medical education (CME) focused on the endocannabinoid system, the therapeutic use of medical cannabis, pain medicine and opioid prescribing. To that point, the content that TheAnswerPage provided at my request, is featured in Israel’s National Healthcare Provider Cannabis Program.

Thank you for informing me that the syllabus topic entitled, “The Medical Use of Cannabis and Cannabinoids in Inflammatory Bowel Disease” that Dr. Timna Naftali and I wrote for TheAnswerPage has received excellent feedback by the medical community.

One of the recent highlights of my career was accepting your invitation to present at Harvard Medical School, where you served as highly respected faculty and physicians. The presentations and lectures that I provided at the Harvard-affiliated teaching hospitals were truly groundbreaking, as they introduced a vast community of healthcare providers to the endocannabinoid system and the therapeutic use of medical cannabis.

The endowment of the “The “Stephen B. Corn, MD Massachusetts Alternative and Palliative Care Educational Research Fund” at your Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital is a strong statement for the importance of continuing the pursuit of research on the endocannabinoid system and of medical cannabis.

Among your honors, it is most noteworthy that you each received the “Medical Professional of the Year Award” in Washington, DC, for advancing education and research in medical cannabis. It is also particularly gratifying that you both were the 2017 recipients of the International Association for Cannabinoid Medicine “Special Award for Major Contributions to the Reintroduction of Cannabis as Medicine,” since I was the recipient of the same award in 2007.
